Former Club or Member's Layouts

Information on the following layouts previously owned by B & P MRC members is provided with permission of the builders and former owners.
All photographs, unless otherwises specified, have been taken by David Temple.
Layout 2: Cadoc Bluffs
A fixed American HO gauge (3.5mm:ft) layout
This layout was dismantled to allow access for window replacement in Summer 2007. Scenes of the final day of operation were captured and are available here

Layout 9: Porthwain
A portable O gauge (7mm:ft) shunting layout
This layout has been stripped back to the baseboard and track. It is being rebuilt, with the existing trackplan, but motorised points and a new scenery. It will remain a shunting puzzle layout.

Layout 11: Bardale
A portable N gauge (2mm:ft) tail chaser
This layout has been dismantled (Summer 2007) and will be replaced by a new more portable N-gauge layout.

Layout 10: Southill
A portable EM Gauge (4mm:ft) shunting layout
This layout has been bought by a member, who plans to refurbish it completely and make it available for exhibition once more.

Layout A: Devil's Creek
A portable HO gauge (3.5mm:ft) 'old-time' American layout
This layout has found a new home on permanent display in the Crewe Heritage Centre

Layout C: Helstow
A OO (4mm:ft) layout (this layout has a new owner and may be available for exhibition) An extension has been built depicting the former Dare Valley Viaduct, one of the few Brunel wooden tressels outside of Cornwall. The new owner is not a current member of the club.

Layout D: Denis Powys
A portable OO gauge (4mm:ft) British outline layout
This layout operates fully by DCC and includes some steam sound and smoke.
It has now been dismantled by its owner, who is currently working on a replacement, designed from the outset solely for DCC operation.

Layout H: BlueJay
Another fun layout - this time american HO gauge (3.5mm:ft) depicting the Wild West . Unfortunately, Dave has had to dismantle this layout to make space for new creations.

Layout J: Walkers Ridge
A working diorama in american/canadian HO gauge (3.5mm:ft) This layout has now been donated to the club.
The diorama has been extended to form a unique shunting layout, incorporating a classical american 'wye' formation for loco and train turn-arounds. In this form it is listed in club layouts as Layout14
