The club's American layout is built into a small room and consists of a single line continuous oval in two levels, which provides for two laps of the room for one complete circuit. A reverse loop and a set of hidden staging is included. The main circuit contains of two principle stations (Cadoc Bluffs and Symington) each with passing loops and small freight sidings.

The scene depicts the U.S. Mid-West from the 1960's to present day operation, although several "oldtimers" are now a regular feature on running nights. The layout has come alive with the custom painted backscene, created by local railway artist, Dave Woolnough, who is now a club member.

Cadoc Bluffs has been dismantled, as a result of the replacement of the window in the room. The last train ran on the Red Dragon Day on Saturday 12th May 2007. Views of the line taken on that day are available here.
